Hearth and Hill Restaurant Brings Upscale-Casual Dining to Sugar House

Hearth and Hill Restaurant has officially opened its doors in Salt Lake City's vibrant Sugar House neighborhood, bringing its signature blend of elevated comfort food and warm hospitality to a new audience. This expansion marks the second location for the acclaimed Park City eatery, renowned for its approachable yet sophisticated dining experience.

 

The menu at Hearth and Hill Sugar House showcases a creative fusion of American favorites with global influences, catering to a diverse clientele. Diners can expect fresh, seasonal American plates, Asian-inspired dishes, house-made pastas, hearty entrées, and beautifully crafted salads and bowls. Weekend brunch enthusiasts will appreciate the array of sweet and savory options, complemented by a selection of cocktails, mocktails, local beers, and an extensive wine list. Appetizers set the stage with elevated starters such as cheddar biscuits with honey butter, baked brie with onion jam, buffalo cauliflower, truffle mac & cheese, and seasonal soups like the standout miso-kabocha soup. For main courses, the menu offers a variety of salads, bowls, tacos, sandwiches, and pastas. Highlights include the shrimp & avocado salad, Hawaiian ahi poke bowl, roasted chicken sandwich, birria tacos, and pasta bolognese made with San Marzano sauce and house ricotta. The journey to opening the Sugar House location was not without challenges. In October 2022, a devastating fire at The Residence at Sugar Alley caused significant delays. Despite this setback, co-owners Brooks and David Kirchheimer remained committed to their vision, seeing the project through to completion. Their perseverance has brought a new culinary gem to the Sugar House community, enriching the local dining scene with Hearth and Hill's unique blend of flavors and hospitality.

 

In addition to Hearth and Hill, the Kirchheimers have expanded their Hill Top Hospitality group with the opening of Hill's Kitchen, a café and catering concept adjacent to the restaurant. Hill's Kitchen offers grab-and-go options, fresh pastries, pizzas, and more, further contributing to the dynamic culinary landscape of Sugar House.
